38 weeks: happy birthday

Jeff here and today is Theresa's birthday!

It's been an amazing year. She's been doing a great job of preparing for motherhood. Reading up, taking classes, preparing the nursery and the house; she takes it seriously and has fun doing it. Theresa sewed curtains, crib skirt, bumper and pillows for the baby's room. They came out cute (see the photos from week 36). And I swear that it was she who chose the theme of 1950's outer space for the nursery. God bless her.

For her birthday extravaganza weekend:
-We saw the Borat movie. It was the funniest movie I've seen in years. I laughed so hard I almost went into labor.
-We attended a live Lemony Snicket reading/event in an old, restored movie theater that included Theresa's favorite musician, Stephen Merritt, who performed and signed CDs, begrudgingly. Lemony Snicket was surprisingly funny.
-We ate at Theresa's favorite breakfast joint in Chicago.
-We attended our Bradley birthing class.
-We ate lots of birthday cake (Theresa's favorite: angel food with vanilla frosting).
-We opened presents.

But sadly, there was one package she could not open today...

Happy birthday, baby. I love you. (by the way, everyone, the drawing is by Jeff -love Theresa)
